Learn Cut-Out Animation from artist Alisha Steinberger
This is a time-lapse video showing Em Cooper animating using oil-paint on glass. She paints each frame, and takes a shot using Dragon stop-motion software, before wiping and repainting. She is working on a rostrum set-up, with the camera above, looking down on the glass plane which is lit from below. In this film Em is working on The Nest, her Royal College of Art graduation film, however the film illustrates the technique which she currently uses.
