A collection of sand and salt animated short films.There are two types of sand animation. In the first type, designs are drawn on a sand light box and then the images are captured frame by frame. In the second type, the sand art is captured on video while the artist is working on a light box to a live audience.

Eli Noyes (born Nov 25, 1946 in Amherst, Massachusetts) is an American animator who has created many animation and design for companies around the world. Nominated for an Academy Award for his groundbreaking animated film, Clay (1964), Eli's work includes projects for Sesame Street, HBO, Scholastic, Nickelodeon, MTV, Pixar, Disney and Oxygen Media. He was co-creator of the Nickelodeon children's television series, Eureeka's Castle, and directed two recurring segments on MTV's revolutionary television series, Liquid Television. In this sand animation, the sandman goes to bed and drifts off to dreamland where he has a number of adventures. Accompanied by a galloping bluegrass banjo.
